Process & Production

Sandblasting technique on float glass

Wood glue was used as the resist to the sandblast – allowing the a more painterly softer feel to the image created. The image of the feather was applied with a small paint brush, these painted areas will act as a resist to the sandblast and will remain clear after sandblasting. The sample glass was sandblasted and the area all around the feather (without the glue) is now opaque
