Artist Statement

I am a Craft Practitioner who takes forms from nature, observes them closely and than changes them.

What craft do you work with?

What inspires you to work with this craft?

The forms of my objects already exist in nature. I see and collect them and put the individual parts together to form a new statement. The pieces do not require glazes because the the pure porcelain has a great charisma.

How do you start your creative process?

The individual components of my porcelain objects are turned at the potter’s wheel. They are assembled together so that they form a unit. The surface ist covered with porcelain silt which I made out of the porcelain mass. Finally the pieces are fired at 1250 degrees. They are presented on wooden or stone steles.
